What is Hugging Face Builders?

Builders are community leaders who run local chapters: city-based groups that host meetups, workshops, hackathons, and talks about open-source ML. Think of it as your local home base for everything open-source AI.

Every chapter is led by one or more Builders who take ownership of their local community: organizing events, finding speakers, sparking collaboration, and foster open-source ML.

What Builders Do

As a Builder, you commit to growing and nurturing your local chapter. That means:

• Organizing events — plan and run meetups, workshops, or hackathons in your city
• Curating content — find speakers, propose topics, and keep talks focused on open-source AI (case studies, libraries, demos, new research, more) you can also come up with different event formats
• Building community — create a welcoming space where beginners and experts alike can learn, share, and build together
